Captivating skiing at Davos
Davos, a place that often catches the headlines for holding international conferences involving world leaders (World Economic Forum), is one of the frontline ski resorts of Europe. Davos is located in Graubünden canton in Switzerland. The area is mainly dominated by Alpine peaks and valleys and is located on the Landwasser River between Plessur and Albula Ranges. The Prättigau Valley connects Davos with the Landquart, an administrative district of Graubünden. Davos is also known for its extensive spa facilities and healthcare services (Davos was more popular as a health resort before skiing took over). The resort elevation of Davos is 1,560 metres (making it the highest city in Europe) while the top elevation is 2,844 metres.

Skiers’ paradise called Grindelwald
Grindelwald is one of the oldest ski resorts in Europe that dates back to the late 19th century. Grindelwald is located in Interlaken district within Bernese Oberland canton in the south-central Switzerland. Grindelwald village is located at an elevation of 1,034 metres above sea level in the Bernese Alps. The top elevation of the resort is 2,971 metres.

Saas-Fee set against the background of the beautiful Swiss Alps, is one of the most charming ski resorts in the world. Saas-Fee is the largest and highest village in Saa Valley and is a municipality located in Visp district of Valais canton in south central Switzerland. Saas-Almagell, Saas-Grund and Saas-Balen are some other villages in the neighbourhood of Saa-Fee. At Prince Charles’ favourite ski resort
Klosters, located in Prättigau/Davos district in Graubünden canton of Switzerland, is one of the finest ski resorts in the world. It resembles a classic Alpine village, moderate and unassuming in character. However, the fact that Klosters is the favourite resort of Prince Charles (one of the cable car to the top of Gotschnagrat is named the ‘Prince of) makes it a special place visited regularly by high profile people and paparazzi. Big White: Second biggest ski resort in British Columbia
Big White ski resort is the second biggest ski resort in British Columbia in Canada. The resort ranks high in the popularity list, thanks to its fabulous terrain and amazing snow. The resort is mainly a pedestrianised with its Main Street actually a ski run. Big White also has the largest night skiing area in western Canada. The resort elevation is 1,755 metres while the top elevation is 2,319 metres.

Skiing At Jasper
Jasper is a beautiful skiing area in Marmott Basin in the Rockies in Alberta in western Canada. Marmott Basin is located in Jasper National Park (10, 878 square kilometres) and about 19 km from Jasper town.

Boreal ski Resort: A fantastic area to ski
Boreal ski Resort is located in Soda Springs near Lake Tahoe area of California in the United States. Boreal is the first resort to open for skiing and snowboarding in Northern California. Boreal was earlier referred to as ‘Boringhill’ for its relatively small size when compared to other Tahoe resorts. But today the resort has gained much prominence to have shed its nickname.
