La Tania is one of the newest and environment-friendly skiing resorts in the world. It is located in Courchevel Valley, between Méribel and Courchevel in Trois Vallées in the south-eastern French Alpine region of Savoie. The resort was first used to accommodate journalists and ice hockey players at the Albertville Winter Olympics of 1992. Since then, La Tania is regarded to be world’s one of the most economical and relaxed resorts. The resort is located at an elevation of 1,400 metres above the sea level.
The resort’s buildings are covered with wood, resembling the architectural style of the local La Perrière community, a group of small, traditional Savoyard hamlets located below the resort.
