The best time for skiing in Lech is late November to early May month. Lech is situated in the Arlberg region on the Alps in the northwest Austria. The Arlberg region is one of the best areas for skiing in the world. The region is divided into two parts – the St Anton and the Lech side. They both are linked by the ski lift. You can even ski through piste but with a guide or you will get lost.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t know skiing; you will get to learn from some local teachers. There is a long established school for skiing. Beginners can polish their skills on the nursery slopes which go down in any direction.
Other than skiing, Arlberg is the only place where you can try heli-skiing and heli-boarding, that too on the Alps.

Once the ski lift closes, the fun doesn’t end. The restaurants and bars open to attract all tired skiers by music, party and alcohol. The must to visit Après spot is the Tannbergerhof which gives an evening tea dance which is followed by the late night disco.
In a place where there is seventy nine restaurants, how can anyone go hungry there. Yes, Lech has 79 restaurants
which have variety of dishes and from high to minimum rate. But the most famous restaurant is Hus Nr 8 and Omesbergasses 8 which is situated inside three hundred year old building and serves Austrian best delicacies and fondues.
As there is no problem for accommodation at Lech because you will find many lodges and hotels, there are sixty plus four – star hotels and seven, five – star hotels. The hotels charges can be divided into three categories- luxurious hotel, moderate and budget.
How To Get There:
The nearest airport to Lech Innsbruck airport which is away from the resorts about sixty-nine miles which almost takes one hour thirty minutes by road; Zurich airport is 187 miles away and it takes two hours thirty minutes.
To get around the place there is ski bus if you have a lift pass, you can ride free of cost on the bus and ski around St Anton, above and below.
