Sugar Bowl Ski Resort is a beautiful medium-sized ski and snowboarding area in Lake Tahoe region in northern Placer County near Norden in California in the United States. Along with Squaw Valley and Northstar, Sugar Bowl Ski Resort is among the major ski resorts on the northern shore of Lake Tahoe. The ski resort, one of the most environment-friendly, is located along Doner Pass of Sierra Nevada mountain range, about 74 km west of Reno in Nevada. Sugar Bowl was founded by none other than the famous Walt Disney and it is one of the oldest resorts at Lake Tahoe and the oldest chair-lift served resort in California. Red Mountain Ski Resort is located on Granite and Red Mountains in Rossland in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia in Canada (about 8 km north of the Canada-US border). Northstar Ski resort is a charming resort located near North Shore of Lake Tahoe in Placer County in the state of California in the United States. The resort, which covers part of extinct volcano Mt Pluto, is spread over an area of 3,000 acres and features a cross country centre, new village at Northstar and on-site lodging facilities. In 1863, following the opening of the Amador/Nevada Wagon Toll Road passing through the Sierra Vevada Mountains, Zack Rancher, a local cattle raiser had opened an inn called Kirkwood’s. In 1864, with the creation of the Alpine County and redrawing of the county borders, the inn came to be placed at the convergence if the Alpine, El Dorado and the Amador counties (the borders were changed again later). Hidden Valley Ski Resort At Laurel Highlands
Hidden Valley ski resort is located in Laurel Highlands in southwestern Pennsylvania in the United States.
The ownership of Hidden Valley shifted from the Kettler family to Buncher Company in 2007. The latter, subsequently upgraded the resort, adding state-of-the-art snowguns and new groomers in the process. In 2008, a new quad chairlift along with 50 more state-of-the-art snowguns were set up here. Buncher Company has more plans to develop the resort even more in next few years including new lodging complexes.

Devil Head ski resort was built in 1970. Originally, it consisted of a 92-room hotel, four chairlifts, a rope tow, ten runs besides a number of bars and restaurants. Skiers hit the turf at Devil Head for the first time in 1970-71. Devil Head Golf Resort was opened in the Spring of 1971. The resort has underwent huge change ever since, in terms of infrastructure and accommodation facilities.
