Rhone Alps is one of the twenty six regions of France, this place is located one the eastern border of the country.  The region was name the Rhone River within the Alps mountain range. . The capital Lyon is the second largest metropolitan region in France. This is also the sixth European economic region.

Chattel is a small commune in the haute savoire area in eastern France.

This place is located in the Rhone Alps region in the south of France.

The whole place is located in the northern French Alps and the French and Swiss border. This is a super place to begin your ski raining and adventures.

This place makes for a development into a major ski resorts and the neighboring villages have the very traditional alpine attributes.

The towns of margins , avoriaz and morzine lie close by,

The skiing zones here are extensive and well built.  People of all abilities and skill in skiing come here to learn, practice or just ski till their hearts content and may be for the fun an adventure of it all.

The entire village is served with free ski bus which is sent around giving free lifts to skiers.

A part of the ports de soleil, this resort is one of the largest international ski resorts in the winter world. An area of about six hundred and fifty kilo meteres is covered here.  There are eight French resorts in the region and four Swiss resorts. . Once you reach here there is almost unlimited chouse to the kind of service you would like and prefer.

Chattel is primarily a winter destination. However, it is also a very popular mountain bike resort. There are ski lifts that are running between June and September.  During the summers there are many fun activities like windsurfing and sailing. There is also white water rafting, kayaking, paragliding’s, walking and sometimes if you don’t feel like doing much then no problem just spread out and relax under the sun.

There are activities here that also include trekking and getting on a wire that moves back and forth which is connected between two peaks. . While you are attached to this cable, there is a harness which lets you glide back and forth.  The cable takes you horizontally while you get an amazing view of the nature of the area along with its superb flora and wild diverse fauna.

There is a famous valley here called the valley of pre la joux.  This place has many platforms for gliding ski lifts. There are also famous restaurants here on the ski lift platform.

Fete st Laurent and fette belle dimanche are both celebrated in august in chatel. The entire village gets into a carnival atmosphere and floats with live entertainment. This is apparently the farmer’s tribute to the beautiful cow. This place is on a high meadow and the only way to access it is the ski lift.
