On the northern side of the Ski Welt area it is one of the well known resorts among the skiers it is well known and it has gained a reputation of being a most visited and favorite ski destination for families. There is a village which is very attractive connected with main road between Worgl and St Johann. This provides the best route to reach another two neighboring ski destinations called as Scheffau and Brixen these two places are also well known among the tourists. Ellamu is known for historic farming since 12th century. This is an important postal network connected between Innsbruck and Salzburg. Wilder Kaiser Mountains makes this resort more attractive and above these mountains opposite of the valley there is a large linked ski area at the back of the village. This is the best place for the beginners its slopes start directly in the village, there is a lift from the start of the village slopes to peak for all the families and intermediate skiers.

Ellmau is one of the lower resorts in Austria which is often missed by first time visitors in Austria. Getting around in Ellmau Ski Resort

You can reach Ellmau from Innsbruck, Munich and Salzburg airports. There are many charter flights from Salzburg airport. The easy way to reach Ellmau is to take the road route from Salzburg airport. German motorway system to Kufstein and Worgl provides transportation, during high season and weekends the crowd is high so reservations are necessary from any of the airport. Worgl Railway Station and St. Johanna in Tirol Railway Station trains to Ellmau take 40 minutes to Brixen valley from there to St Johann which is the major place to reach any of the skies. From St. Johann there are regular busses to reach Ellmau. Guesthouse accommodation is very well known in Ellmau, luxury hotels, private rooms etc are available on reasonable rates while there are many five star hotels for more luxury and comfortable stay.
