Whitetail Ski Resort is a ski resort located on Two Top Mountain in Tuscarora Mountain ranges of Pennsylvania in the
United States. Opened in 1992, the resort was later acquired by Snow Time Inc. Whitetail is situated between Mercersburg, Pennsylvania and Clear Spring, Maryland and serves Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area. Clear Spring in Maryland is the nearest city to Whitetail resort.
Snow Country Magazine accorded ‘Best Overall Resort Design Award’ to Whitetail in 1002 while Skiing Magazine acknowledged the resort for environmental excellence in area design.
Skiing at Whitetail:
Whitetail resort’s base elevation is 264 metres while its top elevation is 550 metres. Its vertical rise is 285 metres. There are in all 20 trails (of which 42 percent is for intermediate skiing and 32 percent is for the advanced skiers. 26 percent is meant for the beginners) with ‘Limelight’ measuring 1,494 metres being the longest.
There are two terrain parks in this resort. Whitetail experiences an average annual snowfall of 40 inches while there is also 100 percent arrangement for snowmaking. The resort also has night skiing facilities.
The lifts at Whitetail include three quad chairs, two double-chair lifts and one each of high-speed quad chair, one lift off quad, one easy rider quad, one express quad and others.
Whitetail Ski resort trail system has been particularly designed to suit skiers of all skiing abilities. Separate trails for first timers, intermediate and experts lie in sequence across the mountain, each fed by different lift systems.

Kids Mountain Camp trains students amid great fun and frolic. Half day camps for skiers aged between 4 to 7 years take place from 9:30 am to 12 pm or 1 pm to 3:30 pm. Half day camps for snowboarders aged between 7 to 12 years and skiers aged between 8 to 12 years are conducted from 10 am to 12 pm or 1 pm to 3 pm. Full day camps for skiers aged between 4 to 7 years take place from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm while full day camps for snowboarders aged between 7 to 12 years and for skiers aged between 8 to 12 years take place from 10 am to 3 pm. Children are introduced to snow sports through Trailblazer Camp held at Whitetail. There is also Explores Snowboard Camp.

From Washington/Baltimore:
Take I-70 W (to Hagerstown ) to I-81 N (towards Harrisburg). After reaching Pennsylvania take exit 5(Formerly Exit 3) (Route 16)to Greencastle. Take Route 16 W towards Mercersburg (11.3 miles). Turn left at the Liberty Gas Station and follow the signs after the Whitetail Golf Resort.
From Harrisburg & Points North:
Take I-81 S, Exit 5(Formerly Exit 3) (Route 16)in Greencastle. Take Route 16 W towards Mercersburg (11.3 miles).
From Points West:
Take I-76 into Breezewood then to I-70 E into Maryland Exit 18, turn left off exit ramp. Pass through the traffic light in Clear Spring. Follow Whitetail signs 7 miles to the slopes.
