Holiday Valley is a splendid skiing and snowboarding resort located in western New York. The resort, which has stepped into its 52nd season, features fifty-six slopes spread over four different faces and has a 750 foot vertical drop. Holiday Valley is reputed for its diverse terrain and particularly for the ski-town of Ellicottville.
Holiday Valley ski resort is rated as ‘number 5 resort’ in the east of the US and is the larger of the two resorts in Ellicottville, the other being Mont Villa. The resort has snowmaking capacities to cater to the tourists throughout the year.
The resort features four terrain parks, a half pipe, several glades and a wonderful children’s programme.

The Holiday Valley ski resort is located at the intersection of NY Rt. 219 and Holiday Valley Road, located a mile south of Ellicottville.
By air:
Buffalo Airport is the nearest airport to Holiday Valley.
By rail:
Buffalo is also the nearest Amtrak station.
By road:
- From the North – Take 190 South to Interstate 90 West (the NYS Thruway.) Take Exit 55 to Rt. 219 South.
- From the West –Take Interstate 90 to Exit 37 (the Jamestown exit). Then follow NYS 86 east (Southern Tier Expressway) to Exit 21 in Salamanca. Take Rt. 219 North.
- From the East – Take NYS 86 West to Exit 21 in Salamanca. Take Rt. 219 North.
- From the South – Follow Rt. 219 North through Bradford, PA and Salamanca.

Accommodation:
Holiday Valley ski resort has three base lodges.
- Clubhouse Chalet/Base Area up Holiday Valley Road.
- Yodeler Lodge: Located at the base of the Yodeler Quad Chair.
- Tannenbaum Lodge: At the base of the Tannenbaum Express Quad and Spruce Lake Quad.
- Inn: At the base of the Sunrise lift for ski-in, ski-out convenience
- Tamarack Club located right next to Holiday Valley’s base lodge, the Creekside Lodge Children’s Center and the Golf Shop.
- Condominiums, townhouses and rental homes are available at the slopes as well as in Ellicottville and the surrounding area.

Winter activities:
- Tubing: Holiday Valley Tubing Company is a place for complete family fun.
- Mountain Tours: Guided tours are available. The tour is conducted on the basic and intermediate terrain. Intermediate skill is required.
- NASTAR Racing: Held on Cindy’s Run, from Wednesday to Sunday. Charges: $6 for adults and $5 for juniors for two runs. Unlimited pass is available for $10.
- Snowshoing and Cross Country Skiing
Summer Activities:
- Golfing at Double Black Diamond golf course.
- Hiking and mountain biking (all trails except those crossing the golf course can be used for these activities). Hike or bike to Spruce Lake at the top of Spruce. Please remember that it is risky to swim at Spruce Lake is risky.
Others:
- Massaging at Falling Waters Spa at Tamarack Club, or at Sunrise Massage, located at the Inn.
- Shopping: Ellicottville is a great destination for shoppers.
