It is the largest ski resorts in Japan with will give you a thrilling ski experience with gorgeous scenery and snowfalls. Surrounded by Hakuba village it has eight major ski areas which are very near to each other. It is located deep in the Japanese Alps inside the Nagano Prefecture. It has 10 ski resorts, 200 runs and 139 lifts with entertainment and much more. Hakuba Valley is called as the heart and soul of the snow sports with major winter sports played events in Japan.

Happo One

It is one of the older ski resorts in Hakuba Ski Resort, hosted international men and women downhill at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics.

Hakuba 47

It is the most popular resort of Snowboarders. This ski area is the largest in Hakuba and was purchased by US private equity leader Pincus Warburg in the year 2007. It is under construction of hotel, shopping mall and a complex.

Hakuba Goryu

This is the best ski area for those who want to learn skiing; it has best beginners slopes and located as Iimori in Hakuba. Here you can experience the night skiing.

Hakuba Iwatake

Connected with all the directions it has intermediate slopes with some expert terrain and the back of this it Iwatake View area.

Tsugaike Kogen

It is the 2nd largest ski resort in Hakuba Valley and is one of the longest gondolas in Japan.

Over all Hakuba Ski resort has eight ski areas and all the areas are charged with tickets which are valid from 2 to 7 days. All the customers will be given tickets they have to show at the lift counter office of the resorts which they want to ski. It requires a deposit of 100 yen which is refundable if not used. These tickets are only for the tourists not for the residents of Japan. Other ski resorts in Hakuba Valley are Yanaba, Hakuba Minekata, Hakuba Norikura, and Hakuba Highland etc.

Getting around in Hakuba Valley

There are daily bus services from Narita airport to Hakuba. But the facility is limited after 5pm. Taxis are also available from Narita airport to your accommodation in Hakuba. Rental cars are also available. If you are traveling by trains than JR chao trains will take you to Hakuba Valley. The transport facility here is comfortable according to the needs of tourists. Hotels, apartments, and villas are available with traditional Japanese rooms for a comfort stay in Hakuba. Accommodations are available in Hakuba village which is very easily accessible.
