Obergurgl ski resortObergurgl is great place for family ski holiday destination and is the best resorts in Austria at one thousand nine hundred and thirty meters high. For the beginners and intermediaries there are schools to learn skiing. There are hundred kilometers of run as it is linked with Hochgurgl. The resorts are like jewel over the top of the Alpine mount. There is little to do in Obergurgl except skiing. The place is loved by the skiers who come from all over the world. Obergurgl is situated in the Otztel Alps in the territory of Tyrol in western Austria. The village is to be found on the border with Italy.

The village has some outstanding modern lift systems, gondolas, and chairlifts.

One of these is two miles long Top Express gondola which was first linked to Hochgurgl and Obergurgl ski region in Obergurgl ski school1997. The lift raises high on top of the Königstal and Verwalltal valley, enlightening and eye-catching Alpine scenery on the panoramic outing.

The area is divided with the convenience of the skiing level. Gaisberg and Mahdstuhl lifts are easy access for the beginners and apprentice. And there two ski schools you can book into to learn skiing. Festkogl ski region on the Obergurgl side plus the Schermerspitze trail attracts Intermediates towards it. Wurmkogl, five miles down to Pill is the longest ski area. For the professional Hohe Mut black piste in Obergurgl is considered as the toughest and there are profusion of off piste and ski touring chance to deal with a guide. There’s also a difficult mogul piste downward from Top-Wurmkogl II in Hochgurgl.

During summer, to the east of the Italian province of Bolzano-Bozen, the hanging valleys are famous for hiking. The region has around three thousand five hundred meters long peaks and many stunning glaciers which are favorites among hikers who come here for more adventure.

Obergurgl nightlifeThe night life is here is cheerful and lively but don’t expect something very hype and trendy like one in the urban city’s famous club. You will find variety of hotels and pubs to go to. But the best place to party is at Toni’s Almhutte. It is situated on the slopes and is magnificent four hundred years old; build out of stones and woods and usually gets filled after the lift closes by the people who are here to spend time merrymaking. The place is at Krumpn’s Stadl, Schlossweg 1 which is popular among party goers as this place have DJ in the evening that make party livelier by his music.

You won’t go hungry in this cold region as there are twenty eateries shops and many hotels which provide food from simple cafes to delicious dinner. You get here Italy’s pizza and pasta, Tyrolean specialties and if you want to have typical Austrian cuisines then best place is Nederhütte, Hütten Gurgl 305 where entertainment is for sure.
