Excellent Alpine skiing at Kranjska Gora

Kranjska Gora in Slovenia is one of the best Alpine skiing resorts in Europe. It is a town located in northwestern Slovenia in Sava Dolinka Valley that separates the Karavanke mountain range from the Julian Alps. Kranjska Gora is indeed very close to the country’s border with Italy and Austria. Ljubljana, the national capital, is 90 km southwest from Kranjska Gora. The resort elevation is 803 metres while the top elevation is 1,291 metres. The skiing runs of Kranjska Gora are located on the eastern slopes of Mt Vitranc (1,631 metres) while cross-country skiing trails lead westwards to the Planica hill, which plays host to Ski Jumping World Championships each March, in Tamar Valley. Skiing at the Pearl of the Alps

Saas-Fee set against the background of the beautiful Swiss Alps, is one of the most charming ski resorts in the world. Saas-Fee is the largest and highest village in Saa Valley and is a municipality located in Visp district of Valais canton in south central Switzerland. Skiing at the magnificent La Thuile

La Thuile ski resort at Aosta Valley of the Alps Mountains in north-western Italy near the country’s border with France is a blend of tradition and modernity. Fantastic skiing at Val-d’Isère

The commune of Val-d’Isère is located in Tarentaise Valley (some of world’s best ski resorts like Paradiski including Les Arcs, La Plagne and Les Trois Vallées including Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens are located here) in Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France near the Franco-Italian border. Val-d’Isère is situated on the border of the Vanoise National Park, the oldest national park in France that was created in 1963 (Vanoise National Park is contiguous with Gran Paradiso National Park in Italy). Tignes: A hotspot for skiing

Tignes ski resort in Savoie in southeastern France in the western Alps close to the Swiss and Italian borders is one of the highest skiing spots in France and remains snow-covered throughout the season (skiing here remains closed only for a few weeks in May, June and September). Tignes turns into skiers’ paradise during the winter owing to the presence of Grande Motte glacier (3,456 metres high).
