A perfect place for family holiday

Background: The marvelous ski area of Holiday Valley in south Ellicottville was first opened commercially in 1957-58, fulfilling the dream of Dick Congdon, John Fisher and Bill Northrup to open a modern ski area in Ellicottville in New York in the USA. The ski area began operating with 4 slopes and a T-bar that descended down to Yodeler, Champagne, Holiday Run and Edelweiss. Organised skiing at Ellicottville dates back to 1935 when Fish Hill was opened. In 1938, Ellicottville Ski Club was formed which drew people from Buffalo, Rochester and Cleveland.  Holiday Valley, however, has come a far distance from where it had started. Fascinating skiing at Sauze d’Oulx

Sauze d’Oulx is a commune located in the province of Turin in piedmont Region in northern Italy and very close to the French border. It is located 80 km from the city of Turin in Val di Susa near the feet of Monte Genevris (2,536 metres). Sauze d’Oulx is a famous skiing resort in Alpine Italy. Along with the villages of Sestriere, Pragelato, Claviere, Cesana Torinese, San Sicario and Montgenèvre (in France), Sauze d’Oulx makes up Lia Lattea skiing area. The location of Sauze d’Oulx at the lap of nature has facilitated its reputation as a remarkable winter sports venue. Beginners’ ski resort at La Tania

La Tania is one of the newest and environment-friendly skiing resorts in the world. It is located in Courchevel Valley, between Méribel and Courchevel in Trois Vallées in the south-eastern French Alpine region of Savoie. The resort was first used to accommodate journalists and ice hockey players at the Albertville Winter Olympics of 1992. Since then, La Tania is regarded to be world’s one of the most economical and relaxed resorts. The resort is located at an elevation of 1,400 metres above the sea level. The resort’s buildings are covered with wood, resembling the architectural style of the local La  Perrière community, a group of small, traditional Savoyard hamlets located below the resort.
