A ‘heavenly’ skiing resort

Heavenly Mountain skiing resort is located in South Lake Tahoe on the California (El Dorado County)-Nevada (Douglas County) border in the United States. The resort is spread over an area of 48,000 acres making it the largest ski resort by area in California. Heavenly is the highest ski resort in Tahoe with a peak elevation of 3,068 metres and a vertical rise of 1,067 metres. South Lake Tahoe is the nearest city to the resort. Davos, a place that often catches the headlines for holding international conferences involving world leaders (World Economic Forum), is one of the frontline ski resorts of Europe. Davos is located in Graubünden canton in Switzerland. The area is mainly dominated by Alpine peaks and valleys and is located on the Landwasser River between Plessur and Albula Ranges.
