Snowbird ski resort

Snowbird ski resort is located in the heart of Wasatch National Forest in Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah in the United States. Snowbird ski resort shares the canyon with Alta Ski Area in the east. Both the resorts receive over 500 inches of annual snowfall per year, which makes it the greatest area of snowfall in the continental United States outside the Cascades. However, unlike the humid and wet snow of the Cascades, Snowbird experiences an unusually dry and powdery snow. Snowbird, along with Alta were ranked number one in the list of ski resorts in North America in 2008 by Outside Magazine. Snowbird ski resort was opened in 1971. Skiing at Geilo in Norway

Geilo is one of the most popular ski resorts located in the mountainous Hallingdal in Buskerud County in the Scandinavian country of Norway. The Hallingskarvet mountain range overlooks Geilo, which is bordered by the largest mountain plateau in Northern Europe, Hardangervidda. The resort elevation is 800 metres above the sea level while its highest point is 1,178 metres above the sea level. Skiing at Bled in Slovenia

Bled is a beautiful resort town located on the shores of Lake Bled in the Julian Alps region in Northwestern Slovenia. The resort is only 35 km from Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital. It had a reputation of being a spa resort for centuries before winter sports took centrestage. The top elevation of Bled is 503 metres while the top elevation is 191 metres. Lake Bled: Lake Bled is a glacial lake measuring 2,120 metres in length and 1,380 metres in width. Squaw Valley ski resort is located in Olympic Valley, Placer County, California, United States and is one of the largest ski resorts in the country. Zermatt (from ‘Zur Matte’ meaning in the meadow) ski resort, located in the German-speaking region of Valais canton (Visp district) in southern Swiss Alps near the Swiss-Italian border, is one of the nine resorts in the world that offer scope of skiing entirely at altitude higher than 2,200 metres. The top two T-bars at Zermatt remain open for the tourists during summer season. The resort elevation is 1,620 metres while the top elevation is 3,900 metres. Big White ski resort in Canada

Big White ski resort is one of the biggest and most popular ski resorts in the Monashee mountain range in British Columbia in Canada. The resort has earned great name for its variety in terrain and amazing snow. Remarkable tree-skiing at Whistler-Blackcomb

Whistler ski resort is one of the best known ski resorts in North America, thanks to its largest skiable area, a considerably long vertical drop and a healthy snow record. Whistler is located in the Coast Mountains in British Columbia in western Canada. The resort is 125km north of the city of Vancouver and just outside Garibaldi Provincial (wildreness) Park. Intrawest, a subsidiary of Fortress Investment Group owns Whistler ski resort.
